Symptoms
This issue is predominantly an issue for the Jasper PDF reports. For instance, when a text statement contains an apostrophe, the Jasper report will render that apostrophe as the string "'" instead of the apostrophe character. This happens because the Jasper framework doesn't recognise this XHTML entity.
