Symptoms
Have a viewable document (e.g. pdf). This document has an attribute category with a document reference.
• Upload version 1 of the document from the Task Dashboard
• Start an approval cycle for the uploaded document
• Reject the document during the approval cycle
• Use the Upload New Version action button from the Task Dashboard to update the rejected document
• The new version will attempt to generate a view file but will eventually fail
This issue may not be immediately apparent since the thumbnail from the previous version will still show. However, when attempting to display the new version in the Viewer, the document will either be downloaded or rendered using the browser’s plugins specific to that document type via the Task Dashboard.
